Yale researchers to study effects of hydraulic fracturing on eastern Ohio

Researchers from Yale University plan to begin a study on hydraulic fracturing in Belmont County, Ohio, reports WTOV9 in Steubenville. Yale researcher Dr. Nicole Deziel told the television station that despite the dramatic increase in natural gas development in eastern Ohio, data remains scarce on whether the process is contributing to the contamination of air or water in Belmont County. She said the Ohio Water and Air Quality Study will soon be launched at the Olney Friends School in Barnesville, Ohio. For more, read the full story.
