WVU, Kansas to work on oil and gas wastewater project

West Virginia University and the University of Kansas will conduct joint research to develop strategies for better management, treatment, protection and recovery of wastewater produced from oil and natural gas wells, reports Farm and Dairy. The newspaper says scientists leading the project want to establish a permanent center focused on “research-proven practices” for handling wastewater from drilling operations.
