Utica shale gas producers join push for condensate exports

Natural gas producers in the Utica shale play are joining upstream and midstream companies seeking confirmation from the U.S. Commerce Department that they can export their distilled condensate, reports the Argus news site. Argus notes that U.S. midstream company Kinder Morgan has said it is in discussions with Utica shale producers wanting to ship certain materials — such as distilled condensate — to western Canada.  Already, Kinder Morgan has reversed the flow on its Cochin pipeline to allow shipments of condensate to move north from Kankakee County, Illinois, to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
