Stark State seeks funds for oil and gas training center

Stark State College’s training center for oil and gas jobs in Ohio is on track to start classes in January, reports Columbus Business First. The newspaper says the community college is requesting $2.6 million in state funding as part of the $10 million Stark State was promised last year to buy and renovate an office building in Canton. The new Downtown Canton Satellite Center and Energy Institute is part of Stark State’s plan to become a regional oil and gas hub. For more, read the full story.
