Spectra Energy is still pursuing its Ohio Pipeline Energy Network (OPEN) Project

Houston-based Spectra Energy Corp. recently confirmed that the planned $486 million OPEN Project system from Ohio to the Gulf Coast is still on track, Columbus Business First reports (See our Feb 20, 2014, blog post for more information). The Ohio Pipeline Energy Network (OPEN) would be capable of transporting 550,0000 dekatherms of dry natural gas.  It would also transform a significant portion of the Texas Eastern system into a bidirectional pipeline.
