Plans for ethane cracker plant in WV move forward

Ascent, a subsidiary of Odebrecht, filed two authorization forms with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), making progress on its proposed ethane cracker plant in Wood County, West Virginia, according to the West Virginia MetroNews Network. DEP Environmental Resources’ specialist, Dave Hight, said Ascent will move forward with plans to get rid of contaminants at the proposed location of the facility, which used house a GE Plastics plant.
