Pioneer Pipe leases land for a pipe fabrication site in Wood County, West Virginia

Matthew Hilverding, chief operating and financial officer of Marietta-based Pioneer Pipe, credited the oil and natural gas boom with his decision to lease property at the Wood County Airport Industrial Park in West Virginia to be used for the fabrication of pipe and steel as well as some trailer assembly, The Marietta Times reports. The operation could have as many as 15 to 20 people per shift per day, but initially "will employ six to eight people." Construction is expected to begin immediately, the article said.
