Pennsylvania, Ohio lead states for natural gas production increases

Pennsylvania and Ohio saw the highest increases in natural gas production among states in 2016 compared to the prior year, reports the Pittsburgh Business Times. The newspaper says new data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed a combined 1.2 billion cubic feet per day increase in gas production in Pennsylvania and Ohio between 2015 and 2016. That was by far the largest jump among states, with only Louisiana, West Virginia and North Dakota showing any positive momentum on production, according to the Business Times.
