Part 2 of the Columbus Dispatch special report on oil and gas activities in Ohio

On September 26, 2011, the Columbus Dispatch continued its special report on oil and gas activities in eastern Ohio with a feature on oil and gas leasing. The article includes a great picture of the organized chaos occurring in local county recorders' offices, and describes the "scramble" for oil and gas leases in eastern Ohio. “I’m told that, even back in the coal days of the 1950s and 1960s, it was never as busy as this,” explained the Harrison County Recorder. For more information on oil and gas leasing activities, read the August 29, 2011 blog post explaining the advantages of joining a landowner association.
