One killed, one injured in oil rig accident in Carroll County

One man was killed and another seriously injured during a drilling accident yesterday afternoon at an oil and gas drilling rig site in Carroll County that is owned by R.E. Gas Development, a subsidiary of Rex Energy Corp., CantonRep.com reports. According to the surviving victim, the two men “forgot to hook up a safety line” while using drilling equipment, which caused the equipment to swing around and cause the accident, the article said.
