Ohio lawmaker wants members appointed to Oil and Gas Leasing Commission

State Rep. Andy Thompson, R-Marietta, will propose a budget amendment requiring the House and Senate to appoint members to the Oil and Gas Leasing Commission, according to Hannah News Service. The news site says the commission, created to administer oil and gas leases on state lands, was established in 2011 by legislation signed by Governor John Kasich. “We really just want to make sure that we address the concerns there, get that commission underway and see if there's any public policy required to advance that initiative,” Thompson told Hannah News.
