Ohio colleges to receive $272,263 to train oil and natural gas workers

Four colleges in eastern Ohio will receive a total of $272,263 to promote training for oil and natural gas workers, reports the Youngstown Business Journal. The newspaper says Belmont College, Washington State Community College, Zane State College and Eastern Gateway Community College are the lead partners for the SE Ohio Oil & Gas Training Collaborative that “will provide a systematic approach to regional training for the energy industry.” The money comes from the Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills program that funds education equipment, co-op initiatives and internships.
