Marathon Petroleum president addresses Ohio's oil and gas potential

Marathon Petroleum President Gary Heminger said during the Hancock County Republican Party Century Club Dinner last Thursday that the oil and natural gas industry could create 200,000 jobs for Ohio, The Courier reports. With four or five new crude oil wells having come on line in eastern Ohio in recent months, the company is "ready to accelerate its purchasing and refining of Utica Shale crude" and has invested in a 12,000-barrel-per-day truck unloading rack in Canton with plans to double its size by next summer, the article said.
