Jefferson County officials explain road-use agreements

According to WTOV9.com, Jefferson County officials explained the status of their intentions to create a standardized road-use agreement on Nov. 25, 2011. Jefferson County Commissioner Tom Gentile said road-use agreements were popping up all over his county, and that the agreements were designed to hold drilling companies responsible for fixing the roads before, during and after drilling. In addition, Salem Township Trustee Terry Bell said the agreements would help manage the increased traffic in his township as a result of drilling truck traffic.
