Italian company to manufacture natural gas equipment at new plant in West Virginia

A new manufacturing facility in Weirton, West Virginia that would produce equipment for the natural gas industry is closer to becoming a reality with expectations of it opening sometime in 2018, reports the Herald-Star in Steubenville, Ohio. The newspaper says local government and development officials have announced that Pietro Fiorentini USA has finalized an agreement to purchase 26.4 acres in the Three Springs Business Park. The site will be used by the Italy-based company for a facility that will produce pressure regulators, valves and pressure reducing and meter systems for the natural gas industry, according to the Herald-Star.
