Gulfport Energy Corp. well in Harrison County tops Chesapeake Energy’s Buell well

Gulfport Energy Corp.’s Wagner 1-28H well in southern Harrison County is producing “more oil, natural gas liquids and dry natural gas combined at peak levels than the Buell well,” which is a Chesapeake Energy well in Harrison County that is considered the most productive well in the Utica shale, Business Journal Daily reports. With a peak production rate at 54 percent more than the Buell well, Gulfport’s well produces at a peak rate of 4,650 barrels of oil equivalent per day, compared with the Buell well’s peak production rate of 3,010 barrels of oil equivalent per day, the article said.
