Gov. Kasich appoints Craig Butler director of the Ohio EPA

On Friday, Ohio Gov. John Kasich announced the appointment of Craig Butler as the director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Butler was appointed interim director in early January following the resignation of Scott Nally (See our Jan 10, 2014, blog post for more information). Butler has more than 24 years of public service experience. He previously served as director of the Ohio EPA's central and southeast district offices, as well as a senior policy advisor for the Kasich administration on environmental, energy, public utility and agricultural issues.
