EID Ohio: Utica shale boom boosting jobs and economic growth

Energy in Depth (EID) Ohio reports that development of the Utica shale play is continuing to drive job and economic growth in a big way. The oil and gas industry group cites several recent examples, including IGS Energy announcing it will build its ninth compressed natural gas fueling station with the new location to be in Obetz, Ohio, and MarkWest Energy Partners breaking ground in August on a new administration building in Cadiz, Ohio, that is to house 100 to 120 employees. EID Ohio also mentions the Bricker and Eckler LLP report that says approximately $18 billion has been invested over the past several years in eastern Ohio thanks to oil and gas development.
