EIA says Utica shale production to rise in December

Oil and natural gas production in eastern Ohio’s Utica shale region is expected to increase in December, bucking the trend of other major U.S. shale plays where production is projected to decline, reports the Youngstown Business Journal. The newspaper says the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates that Utica natural gas production should stand at 3.066 billion cubic feet per day in November and reach 3.132 billion cubic feet per day in December.
