Eclipse Resources to drill more 'super laterals’ in eastern Ohio

After drilling its 3.5-mile-long “Purple Hayes” horizontal well in Ohio last year, Eclipse Resources plans to drill 11 more of the “super laterals” in 2017, reports the Wheeling Intelligencer/News Register. The newspaper says the wells will be developed on Eclipse’s acreage in eastern Ohio, which include portions of Monroe, Belmont, Guernsey and Noble counties. Overall, the Pennsylvania-based company said it plans to spend $300 million on drilling and hydraulic fracturing operations in 2017. For more, read the full story.
