Company withdraws plans for two injection wells in Mansfield

After purchasing a 4.9-acre parcel for $34,230 and acquiring two state permits to build injection wells, Preferred Fluids Management has withdrawn plans to construct two 5,000-foot injection wells in Mansfield, Mansfield News Journal reports. Although several other companies may be interested in constructing injection wells in the city, Mansfield’s mayor and city law director described the withdrawal as a victory “over a company that sought to inject toxic poison” into the city’s soil, the article said.
