Companies propose 330-mile gas pipeline from West Virginia

EQT Corp. and Next Era Energy Inc. are seeking natural gas producers for their proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline that would move gas from the Marcellus and Utica shale plays to markets in the Southeast, reports Columbus Business First. If approved by federal regulators, the 330-mile pipeline would extend a transmission system from Wetzel County, W.Va., to a delivery point in Virginia from where the gas could be moved farther south.
