Carroll County well’s early production figures look promising

Rex Energy Corp. said is a statement Wednesday that early figures for its Brace 1H well in Carroll County’s Washington Township “showed strong production of good quality oil and gas,” with about 43 percent of the natural gas produced there being the more valuable liquids, CantonRep.com reports. As Rex Energy joins Chesapeake Energy, EnerVest, Gulfport and Antero Resources in touting “positive reports about oil and gas production from Utica wells in eastern Ohio,” Devon Energy has reported that wells on the western side of the formation, in Medina and Knox counties, “have been less productive,” the article said.
