American Chemical Council economist predicts $36 billion in Ohio plastics industry investments

Kevin Swift, American Chemical Council’s chief economist, recently predicted Ohio would attract billions of dollars in investment by 2023 for its promising plastics industry, according to WVXU Cincinnati. Swift believes investments will increase due to Ohio’s massive shale deposits in the Utica and Marcellus shales, and its customer base for plastic and other industry products.
