by The Marcellus shale region can expect to see 17 pipeline projects over the next three years to ship about 17.3 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas out of Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Citing an analysis by IHS Energy, the newspaper says the pipelines will transport gas to New England, the Midwest, eastern Canada and the South. New pipeline infrastructure is in high demand, the Post-Gazette notes, because the existing network to move gas from well sites in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays has been maxed out.
