West Virginia falls behind on natural gas-fired power plant projects

West Virginia Commerce Secretary Woody Thrasher recently told legislators the state is missing the surge in development of natural gas-fired power plants, reports the Exponent Telegram in Clarksburg. Thrasher said 19 gas-fired power plants are being built or are proposed in Ohio and another 22 in Pennsylvania. However, none have been constructed in West Virginia, and the only one on the drawing board is tied up in litigation, according to the newspaper. For more, read the full story.
