Pennsylvania agency OKs restart of Mariner East 1 pipeline

The Pennsylvania PUC has voted to approve the restart of the Mariner East 1 pipeline that had been shut down for nearly two months after sinkholes appeared near it, reports the Pittsburgh Business Times. The newspaper says the pipeline, which carries ethane and propane between southwestern Pennsylvania’s shale region to the Marcus Hook refinery near Philadelphia, will restart service immediately.
