Ohio commission denies appeal on injection well permit

An appeal of a drilling permit issued to K&H Partners for an injection well in Athens County, Ohio, was recently dismissed by the Ohio Oil & Gas Commission, reports Columbus CEO magazine. The commission ruled against an appeal filed by the Athens County Fracking Action Network, which opposed the permit. In its decision, the Oil & Gas Commission said that it lacks jurisdiction to hear the appeal under Ohio law and a recent Ohio Supreme Court ruling. For more, read the full story.
