NTE Energy opens natural gas-fired power plant in Ohio

NTE Energy recently opened its Middletown (Ohio) Energy Center, the latest in a series of natural gas-fired power plants that the Florida-based company is developing in Ohio, Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina, reports POWER magazine. NTE says the 525-megawatt combined cycle facility in Middletown is among the most efficient gas-fired power plants in the country due in part to heat from the power generation process being used to create steam that drives a steam turbine at the plant.
