EV Energy Partners files for bankruptcy protection

EV Energy Partners has filed for bankruptcy in a move to restructure its debt, reports the Canton Repository. The newspaper says the Chapter 11 filing in federal bankruptcy court in Delaware followed lenders’ approval of a previously announced restructuring agreement that would eliminate more than $343 million of principal and accrued interest. Houston-based EV Energy Partners has oil and natural gas assets in Ohio’s Utica shale play. For more, read the full story.
