Chevron Appalachia to invest $630,000 in ShaleNet programs

Chevron Appalachia plans to invest another $630,000 in ShaleNET education programs at four community and technical colleges in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, reports the Youngstown Business Journal. The newspaper says the company has invested more than $2.1 million since 2014 in programs focused on workforce development in energy and manufacturing at Stark State College in Ohio, Westmorland Community College and Pennsylvania College of Technology in Pennsylvania, and Pierpont Community and Technical College in West Virginia. The latest funding includes $118,269 to Stark State for student scholarships and the acquisition of new equipment. For more, read the full story.
