Ohio drilling permits increased drastically in 2011
|
Of the 156 drilling permits issued in Ohio in 2011, 111 went to Chesapeake Exploration LLC, a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy, according to an article in The Vindicator. The overall number of permits issued in the state is a dramatic increase compared to the previous two years, which saw a combined three permits issued, the article said.
