Oversupply of natural gas is forcing production to a halt
 

With natural gas facilities in the United States expected to reach capacity this summer, the price per thousand cubic feet of natural gas has unexpectedly dropped from $4 last year to around $2 now, Crain's Cleveland Business reports. As energy companies cut production in an effort to drive up the price, landowners are having to wait longer for their royalties – as are states for their tax revenue – from the sale of the gas, the article said.
